About
I got my start in public radio and have spent over 20 years making things that matter — covering the entertainment business as a journalist, producing documentary and companion podcasts at Pineapple Street Studios, and collaborating with nonprofits on media projects. At Pineapple, I worked with clients including HBO Max, Apple, Netflix, and Paper Kite; our documentary Magnificent Jerk was named one of the best podcasts of 2023 by The New Yorker. I’m currently the Managing Editor of Talking Pictures, a movie memories podcast from TCM and HBO Max, and producing Reimagining Democracy for a Good Life with PolicyLink. I’m also a clinical social worker trained in psychoanalysis — it’s what makes me so good at finding the story inside the story.

As podcasts have embraced video, so have I — as Managing Editor of Talking Pictures I’ve helped oversee the show’s expansion from audio to full video production. My other video work includes consulting on projects for Smartypants Pictures, helping CHANGE, a nonprofit focused on gender equity, create a video series about childcare workers impacted by the LA wildfires, and producing for This American Life’s Showtime series.

I love helping people make things that matter. Sometimes that means working with someone who has nothing more than a tiny seed of an idea. Other times a project has been gestating for years and just needs a push. And sometimes I work on the whole thing from start to finish. I helped develop the Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls books into a fairytale podcast and consulted on the Oscar-winning documentary All The Empty Rooms. If you have an idea, let’s talk.

I also draw and paint. When I’m not working, hanging with my daughter, or playing tennis you can sometimes find me drawing.
